Master North American Studies (MA)

The department of Anglo-American History at the University of Cologne offers the Master of Arts program North American Studies in cooperation with the North American Studies Program at the Universty of Bonn. In Cologne the modules Literary and Cultural Studies, History and Society, Postcolonial Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Research are offered. In addition to that, the University of Bonn offers the modules Politics and Society and Economics. Furthermore, it is possible to attend individual courses for a module studied in Cologne in Bonn instead. Since currently the re-accreditation of the program is in progress, the new study guideline is expected to be implemented by the winter term 2015/16. In the new program guideline the module Interdisciplinary Studies will presumably be replaced with an internship.

The regular time of study is four semesters.
